Education of Children

At Christ Community Church we believe that God has entrusted parents with the primary responsibility for the education of their children (Deuteronomy 6:4-7, Ephesians 6:1-4).  Therefore, it follows that the foundation of a God honoring education is a biblical family life.  A scripturally ordered family life is marked by a proper understanding and modelling of men’s and women’s roles, regular family worship, the teaching & modelling of a consistent biblical worldview, and regular participation in the life of the local church. These foundations are essential to a child’s education and we as a church wish to actively teach, support, and resource families to this end.

Regarding the formal aspect of a child’s education, Christ Community Church aims to partner with parents, whether they choose to enroll their children in a Christ centered traditional classroom environment or wish to educate their children in the home.

For those who wish to enroll their children in a traditional school setting we recommend and support First Baptist Classical Academy.  A number of our church members currently serve as teachers at FBCA and several of our families have enrolled their children there.  We regularly pray for the school and are committed to providing practical aid for families in need of help with their tuition fees.  

We as a church are equally committed to supporting parents who have chosen to educate their children at home.  One of the ways that we do this is through the ministry of the Christ Community Homeschool Co-op.
